I was really excited when I found out that I would get to review this software since I had heard so many great things about it. Every second of playing with this program was a joy, and I am glad to be able to share with you all of the great features that it contains. This poker program was created to rival software such as Turbo Holdem, and in my opinion in surpasses it by a landslide. I hope you see why I speak so positively of this software from this review, and enjoy.
First off, this software is built around AI that has been tested and formed with special algorithms to provide you with the closest thing to playing a real player. There is almost every possible teaching aid to be offered in this software, and all of it is brilliantly programmed to provide you with the best possible results.
The web site is very well made, and there are numerous additional features to be found on it. There is a forum so you can discuss the software or your game, and there are constant updates to keep the software quick and easy running. The web site is simple to navigate through, and it is easy to research the different programs that they offer. I recommend downloading the demo first so that you can make sure that this great software meets your needs. Downloading and installing the demo was very quick and simple, just make sure that you download the main program first before you download any patches or additional demo downloads that they offer.
Once you have the software installed, and you open the program, you will see a pop up that gives you some information about the demo, what it leaves out, and tips. Read through this before you play around with the program, because much of what it tells you, you will apply shortly.
Now that I have boasted about how great this product is, I’m sure you are all waiting to here the different features it contains. Honestly there are far too many to list, but I will go through and explain the ones that I found to be most helpful. The first one, and by far the most important, is the advice from bots that the program gives. It doesn’t give you as detailed advice as some other software, yet it gives you options on whether or not to call, check, or fold and the probability of doing them. This might not seem as nice as the other programs, but there are extra pop ups that give you advice when you do certain things. An example of this is if you bet a small amount in a large pot. An advice pop up with tell you that this play is incorrect and explain to you why this is so. Another nice feature about the advice is that there is more then one bot that can give you advice and you can change the characteristics of the bots. That is, you can alter whether or not they play tight, loose, and many other things.
The next aid that I found really helpful was the odds it provides you with. It can give you the implied odds, potential odds, and hand odds, all of which can be utilized to strengthen your game. Also, it keeps track of your statistics so that you can see how many hands have been played, what percent you have won, what percent of flops you have seen, and so on. Furthermore there is a player statistics option that presents you with every stat you could possibly want including graphs and long term play.
If all of this weren’t enough, there is also a showdown calculator and hand evaluator, both of which are incredibly useful. The showdown calculator allows you to pick two sets of face down cards, and then select how many times you want to simulate the hand, and it will give you the percents of each hand winning. The hand evaluator gives you an in depth look at your hand telling you its strengths, draws, bias, and other things.
Like I had said before, this software really has too many features for me to list; however, I hope that the ones that I have shared with you really give you a good idea of the quality of this program. I recommend this software to every poker player out there, beginner or pro, since I feel that anyone can learn something new with it. Yes, I know, up until now this software has been near perfect, yet there is one thing that is negative about it. The price of $99.00 for the full edition sounds like a lot of money, and I know I have said in the past that poker programs aren’t worth this much, but honestly I think this one is. There is an introductory program for $39.00 and some other deals if you don’t want to pay for the full one. Just check their website for information on them.
I also recommend that you check out the review on Holdem Partner, since that software is just for online play, and Poker Academy is just for playing the computer. Good luck and enjoy.
