Poker software is a new advancement in technology that wasn't there for all of the older pros that we know now such as Doyle Brunson or Mike Caro. It is a recent learning aid, that has been adapted to poker and which I find is a pleasantly unique and fun way to enhance and practice your skills at the game of poker. There are all sorts of poker software, some for the beginner, some for the advancement, and some for both, so each play should be able to find at least one program that suits there needs. There are also well made programs and poorly made programs, and we at winatpoker.com have done you the favor of testing out some of the most popular software so you can easily select the one that is best for you. This allows you to save money, time, and frustration, all of which you can save or win you some money at the poker tables.
We decided to include a section of its own to software reviews on this site, because we found it to be one of the most under looked aids for learning poker. Since it is a relevantly new part of poker, we didn't expect many people to know what makes good software, so here in our reviews we give you some key details (both good and bad) about each of the programs we reviewed.
The first thing that is going to be looked at when reviewing the poker software is the homepage and the ease of purchasing the software. A lot of times, there will be a optional demo which is really nice, and other times the software will be a complete freebie. A long with the instructions on buying it, we also want to give you our feedback on whether or not the price fits the quality of the work. An important note on this is that this is our opinion and although we try to stay as fair and unbiased as possible, there are still people who might not agree.
The next thing that will be reviewed is the individual aids that the program contains. We will try to give a detail description of the methods used such as odds, comments, and hand ranking or the lack thereof. Occasionally we will find a really unique method that we haven't seen yet, or a method that just isn't up to par, and it is these observations that we want to inform you about before you purchase anything.
The last thing that is reviewed is the interface of the program. In my opinion this is the most important aspect of the review, and will be one of the things that I pay extra attention to. A complicated or cluttered program can leave a player frustrated and confused and then you won't learn anything from your investment.
Hopefully you will find these reviews to be something that helps you to find the right poker software. It is a great teaching aid, and when the right one is found it can be used over and over again with an immense amount of knowledge being learned. Good Luck, and if you have any questions on the reviews email me. Thanks and enjoy.
