Move over Las Vegas! The glittering gambling and poker capital of the United States has an equal but different rival city located in New Jersey. People looking to have a different gambling or poker experience can travel to Atlantic City boardwalk on the Jersey shore which offers first-rate gambling and poker tournaments at its many premier hotel casinos.

The most famous of the hotel casinos in Atlantic City are the Trump Taj Mahal, Borgata Hotel Casino, Tropicana Casino and Resort, Showboat Casino, Bally’s Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and Caesar’s Atlantic City – These Atlantic City Hotels are where you want to be. Each of these flashy casinos has something to offer to the savvy poker player as well as the inexperienced.

Under sparkling chandeliers in the Trump Taj Mahal Poker Parlor, voted best Poker Room by Atlantic City Press, sit over 80 tables offering a diverse selection of games and daily tournaments. Nearby, the Borgata has a new poker room with 85 tables, each equipped with an automatic card-shuffler. The Tropicana, or “Trop” as it is familiarly referred to, features 35 tables and a variety of poker games, including their signature “pink chip” game. Inside the House of Blues Poker Room of the Showboat, one can find a great poker tournament on a Saturday night. The western-themed Bally’s has two poker rooms to hold all their live poker action: Billy’s Poker Room and the Wild Wild West Poker Room. Other poker rooms in Atlantic City are Harrah’s Poker Room with 24 tables and the grand Caesar’s Poker Arena, the newest poker room in the city.

Both Showboat and Harrah’s offer No Limit Hold ‘em daily tournaments, and Hurrah’s offers a new Turbo Bounty tournament. At Bally’s, lucky players may win a share of the Bad Beat payout. Also on the list of Atlantic City poker tournaments are Caesar’s Gladiator Games IV Poker Tournaments and Deep Stack Poker Tournaments.
